Privacy policy.

Written to describe what this website actually does, rather than to cover every eventuality in language nobody reads.

Who we are

Tripgare Travel Services arranges airline tickets between North America and India. We are reachable at info@tripgare.com or +1 855 522 3344. Our offices are listed at the bottom of every page.

What we collect, and when

When you ask for a quote or a callback

Only what you type into the form. Depending on which form you use, that is:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Where you want to fly from and to, your dates, and whether they are fixed
  • How many people are travelling, and their ages where you tell us
  • What matters to you on the trip — price, stops, timing, baggage, flexibility
  • Any notes you add, and the specific flight you clicked if you used “Get this quoted”

Requests for extra support

The quote form lets you tell us if someone needs wheelchair or airport assistance, is travelling with an infant, is an unaccompanied minor, needs a special meal, or is travelling with a pet. Some of that reveals something about a person’s health or mobility. We ask because an airline cannot arrange assistance we have not requested, and because it changes which routing we would recommend. We use it only to arrange your travel, we do not use it for marketing, and you are never required to give it — you can tell an agent by phone instead.

When we load your ticket into “Manage my booking”

Once you have booked, we upload your e-ticket to this website so you can see it without having to find an email. You do not type any of this in — it comes off the ticket we issued you, and it is the only part of this site that holds information about a real trip. It is:

  • The passenger names exactly as they appear on the ticket
  • The flights — airline, flight number, airports, dates and times
  • The booking reference, the airline’s own reference for each flight, and e-ticket numbers
  • Any special service noted on the ticket, such as a meal or assistance request
  • A copy of the e-ticket PDF itself
  • An email address, if you gave one, so we can send you the booking and any updates

The tickets we upload do not carry dates of birth or passport numbers, and we do not add them. Neither does this site hold what you paid.

How it is reached. There is no account and no password. You open the booking with the booking reference plus the last name of any passenger on it. That is the same method airlines use, and it is a deliberate trade: a password would be one more thing to lose, and the booking contains no payment details and no identity documents. Attempts are rate-limited, and repeated wrong guesses against a reference are blocked. Once you are in, a session cookie keeps you there until you sign out or close your browser.

Emails about it. When we first load your booking you get one email confirming it, with the link. After that we email you only if we upload a revised ticket and something a passenger can actually see has moved — and only if you have left updates switched on. You can turn them off from the booking page at any time. We do not use this address for marketing.

Payment

We never ask for card details on this website. There is no checkout here. Payment is taken by a consultant over the phone on a secured line, and card numbers are not stored on this server at any point.

Automatically

  • Your IP address, recorded with each form submission to help us deal with spam
  • Standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider

We do not run Google Analytics or any advertising or profiling trackers on this site. A small number of third parties do receive your IP address simply because your browser fetches something from them — they are listed below. If we ever add analytics or advertising, this page changes with it.

Cookies and browser storage

We use a single session cookie. It keeps a form submission secure, and — if you have opened your booking — it is what remembers that you did, so you are not asked for the reference on every page. It is cleared when you sign out or close your browser. We also store your currency preference (CAD, USD or INR) and whether you have already dismissed a popup, in your own browser. None of that identifies you, and none of it is shared.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to arrange and support your travel, and to keep a record of what was agreed — which protects you as much as us if an airline later disputes something. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who else sees it

  • Airlines and our ticketing partners, where your booking requires it — names must match passports, and assistance requests must reach the operating carrier.
  • Google Workspace, which hosts our email, so your enquiry arrives in an inbox.
  • Hostinger, our web host.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • Airline logos on search results load from a third-party image service, which likewise sees your IP address.
  • Trustpilot supplies the review panel on this site. Their widget loads from Trustpilot, so they receive your IP address and can set their own cookies. We do not send them your name or contact details, and reviews are collected and verified by Trustpilot rather than by us.

Flight searches you run are sent to our airline reservation system as a route and a date. Your name and contact details are not sent with a search.

Where it is stored

Our web server is located in India. Our email is held by Google, which stores data across multiple countries. So if you are in Canada or the United States, your information is transferred outside your country and is subject to the laws of the countries where it is held, including lawful access by authorities there. We tell you this plainly because you are entitled to know it before you type anything in.

E-ticket PDFs are kept outside the public part of the website, under a name nobody could guess, and are only ever served after the booking reference and last name have been checked. They cannot be found by a search engine and cannot be reached by editing a web address.

How long we keep it

Your booking on this website is deleted automatically 14 days after the last flight on it lands. That means the whole record and the e-ticket PDF, removed by a scheduled job without anyone having to remember. After that the page will no longer open, so download or print anything you want to keep before you travel. If we reissue a ticket, the superseded PDF is deleted at that moment rather than kept alongside the new one.

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept while they are still useful to answer, and then deleted. Our own commercial record of a completed booking — held in our office systems, not on this website — is kept longer, because tax and airline rules require it and because you may need us to retrieve details years later.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email info@tripgare.com and we will action it. There is no form to fill in and no fee.

Two of those you can do yourself, without asking. Booking update emails are switched off from a link on your own booking page. And if you would rather your booking were not on this website at all, say so and we will remove it — you will still have the e-ticket we emailed you, and nothing about your travel changes.

If you are in Canada and are unhappy with how we have handled this, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are a resident of California or another US state with its own privacy law, you have rights under it, and asking us is the same process.

Children

This site is not aimed at children. We collect information about children only when an adult provides it in order to book their travel.
